Eurozone: economic confidence falls further in April

The index developed by the European Commission reveals that confidence fell in April to 92.8 points from 94.5 in March. It is the lowest level since last November. The data is worse than expected by the market.Among the large Member States, confidence deteriorated a lot in Italy (-5.7 points) followed by Poland (-2.3), Spain (-1.8) and Germany (-1.0)Stayed almost stable in France (-0.4 points) and improved in the Netherlands (+1.2) and especially in the UK (+4.2). The economic sentiment indicator stays above its long-term average in only Germany.
The fall has been generalized all economic sectors.
And the commission said only improved confidence in the retail sector.
